Pranic Healing

Neurotherapy, is an ancient Indian rehabilitative therapy. Also known as “NadiMardan Kriya". Neurotherapy is a branch of Ayurveda which deals with nerves, muscles, joints and blood & lymphatic channels without any oral intake of medicines.

Authorities in the field believe that human body is co-ordinated by three different energy forces as Vata (air) Pitta (bile) and Kapha(water). Neurotherapy helps in restoring and balancing the energy forces of the body that regulate the physiological equilibrium of the body’s organs.

Neurotherapy is an age-old healing technique based on the Nadi Vigyan (Knowledge of the Nervous System) which basically falls under Ayurveda. Neurotherapy is a rehabilitative treatment which principally prevents disorder and helps you to maintain wellness without medicine.

Neurotherapy was re-pioneered by Dr Lajpatrai Mehra in Mumbai India. The term Neurotherapy (neuro means nadi or nerves; therapy is application), was coined in 1950’s. Neurotherapy, places chief emphasis upon the optimum functioning of the body’s self-healing mechanism as being the most important factor in maintenance of wellness.

Neurotherapy is a complete system of healing and incorporates mechanical, psychological, bio-force, and biochemical aspects. It discovers the root cause of the disease and treats the same in an integrated manner. Any disorder of the bodily organs causes an imbalance in the biochemical forces leading to development of diseases. As needed, Neurotherapy treatment stimulates or dampens the organ(s), by applying controlled pressure on specific nerve channels for a specific time in a specific sequence and regulates the blood & other body fluids and nerve currents so as to restore the balance and harmony of the body thus helping the body regain its equilibrium.

Unlike most other body-work therapy, controlled pressure is applied at specific distinct points of the body mainly through feet and occasionally through hands. The therapist rests his/her weight on the stand created for treatment and applies pressure by standing on the patient’s body with the weight and the pressure being skilfully controlled. However, pressure applied to the connecting nerve channels is regulated according to the age, sex and tolerance of the patient.

Practice of simple lifestyle habits along with certain specific Yoga poses are taught to the patients during Neurotherapy treatments. These lifestyle changes help the patients to maintain wellness without medicine.
